Motorola Screens
Source Motorola Screens in bulk for repair shops, refurbishers and parts distributors, straight from the workshop.
The listing covers the full Motorola range. New displays are added as handsets appear, each one labelled with its exact grade.
- Peak brightness verified against the grade claim
- Brightness uniformity measured across the panel
- Dead-pixel scan run on a sample from each lot
- Every panel touch-tested and display-tested before it is packed
- Protective film on both faces so the glass survives transit
Screen Grades — what wholesale buyers check (Motorola Screens)
Soft OLED is built on a flexible substrate and survives impacts that crack a rigid hard OLED panel. Hard OLED is cheaper but can crack from a light corner knock while the top glass stays intact. Converting an OLED phone to incell LCD lowers the price but also lowers brightness and raises battery drain. The factory code on the flex cable — JK, GX, ZY, DL, YH — tells you which tier the panel really is.
Frames and adhesives are as much a part of the repair as the panel, which is why a grade list, not just a price list, is what a serious buyer asks for.
Specs and checks that matter
- Substrate check: Flex carries a factory code (JK, GX, ZY, DL, YH) — it identifies the actual production line
- Grade scale: Original New, Original Pull, OEM Refurb, OEM Grade, Soft OLED, Hard OLED, FHD Incell, HD Incell/TFT
- Common misdiagnosis: Roughly one in three "screen faults" traced to a bench actually turns out to be the flex or a software state
- OLED types: Soft OLED is flexible and absorbs drops; hard OLED is rigid glass and more brittle at the corners
- Bench test: Touch, display, ghost-touch and true-tone are checked before an order is packed
Buyer questions
Should I fit an LCD into an OLED phone?
Only as an openly labelled budget option: you lose true blacks and brightness, and the phone draws more power on a full backlight.
What causes comeback jobs on replacement screens?
Cheap TFT screens, low-grade incell with weak digitizers, budget hard OLED that cracks, and refurb panels with dust under the glass.
What do the grades mean?
Grades run from original new through pull, OEM refurb and the incell tiers, and every listing states which one it is.
Which grade should I stock?
It depends on your customer: original for premium repairs, incell tiers for volume work — ask for the grade list.
